PrimeTest Automation is excited to participate in this year's Battery Show in Novi, Michigan. This year will be our second year exhibiting at this show and we are looking forward to showing attendees some of the latest technology available in the field of automated manufacturing and testing. We will be displaying 2 live demonstrations as part of our exhibit, the first is our Fanuc M1 robot demonstration, CandyBot, and the second is an example of how automated battery inspection can be applied to battery production using the National Instruments Inspection Software, Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI).

CandyBot is a demonstration of a robot assembly system using a Fanuc M1 Robot with iRVision and conveyor tracking to pick and place M&Ms from a moving conveyor. This high-speed robot is capable of picking small parts for typical packaging and assembly applications. National Instruments VBAI is a fully functioning vision inspection software package capable of handling applications such as code reading and pattern matching and it contains over 100 machine vision tools including optical character recognition (OCR) as well as measurement and location tools. It integrates with various automation platforms such as PCs and PLCs using digital I/O, serial, or Ethernet protocols.

PrimeTest Automation's demonstration highlights these capabilities by illustrating a typical application using measurement and location tools displaying results on a custom graphical user interface (GUI).
